A Party in the Kitchen!

What a fabulous experience to partner with Eastman Immigrant Services! We had a great evening cooking with some very lovely ladies and some lovely children to create a tasty meal centred around squash, apples and grapes.
Eastman Immigrant Services runs cooking classes to help new immigrants learn cooking and recipe words in English and to help introduce common Canadian ingredients. What a great event for Fruit Share to get involved in!
Our menu involved freshly made grape juice from steamed grapes, Curry Squash Apple Soup, Savoury Squash and Bacon Fry over rice and Apple Crisp for dessert. What a feast!
After working so hard together in the kitchen it was wonderful to sit down together and visit over the delicious food we had prepared.
Thanks to Lois Epp for helping to organize this event.
